Paul Lester CBE
Non-Executive Chairman
Paul Lester joined Greenergy International Ltd in October 2010 as Non-Executive Chairman. Previously Paul was Chief Executive of support services company VT Group Plc and Group Managing Director of infrastructure services business Balfour Beatty Plc. Paul has held numerous Board and senior management positions at other engineering and support service companies. Paul is currently a non-executive director of Invensys Plc and Chloride Group Plc and is the Chairman of the John Laing Infrastructure Fund.
Andrew Owens MBE
Chief Executive
Andrew is the Chief Executive and co-founder of Greenergy International and has been working in the oil industry for over 30 years. Since founding the business in 1992 with David Rees, Andrew has seen the business transform from a small supplier of niche environmental fuels into UK’s largest supplier of road fuels. Andrew has received numerous accolades for his contribution to the industry including lifetime achievement awards to numerous industry bodies and placing in the Top 20 in Management Today’s Britain’s Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
David Rees
Non-Executive Director
David co-founded Greenergy with Andrew Owens in 1992 and he has been a Director ever since. With over 40 years’ experience in the oil industry in oil refining, trading and marketing, he has played a leading role in Greenergy’s success, most recently leading its global biofuel operations and establishment of its Brazilian bioethanol operations.
Jitesh Sodha
Chief Financial Officer
Jitesh joined Greenergy in 2008 as the group’s Chief Financial Officer. Jitesh has over 20 years of experience working in financial roles in blue chip and start-up businesses across a broad range of industries including commodities and I.T. Amongst other roles, Jitesh was previously the CFO of Mobile Streams Plc and T-Mobile International UK Limited. Jitesh is a graduate of New College, Oxford.
Paul Bateson
Chief Operating Officer
Paul has been the Chief Operating Officer of Greenergy since he joined in 2007. Prior to joining Greenergy, Paul worked for Conoco Phillips as the Head of European Refining and Asset Development and spent 16 years with Louis Dreyfus. Paul oversees the day to day operations of the company including trading, commercial, marine, inland trading and biodiesel production.
Tamara Earley
Director of External Affairs
Tamara has over 20 years’ experience in the oil industry including the last 14 years with Greenergy. Before joining Greenergy, Tamara worked with Safeway and BP in various roles. Tamara’s portfolio includes major client contracts, head of customer service, legal, regulatory affairs and biofuel sustainability.
Caroline Lumbard
UK Trading Director
Starting with Greenergy over 13 years ago, Caroline has worked in numerous roles within Greenergy. As Greenergy’s UK trading director, Caroline is responsible for the group’s sales and purchasing strategies within the UK. Caroline has helped champion Greenergy’s rapid sales and customer growth.
